Turn your ordinary holiday phone snapshots into unique and personal wall art!

I was delighted to help a special client with this project; she had been on holiday to New York and asked me to work with her to turn her photos into black and white photo canvas wall art. She wanted a triptych, a series of 3 photo canvases to hang on her wall so together we picked three of her photos which showcased a good variety of the spectacular architecture of New York. It was important to pick well-focussed photos with good lighting and which had enough scope to crop to achieve good composition.

Next came the photo editing stage. I consulted with my client what size and proportions she would prefer to make the 3 finished photo canvases. I edited the photos, converting each one to black and white using specialized techniques to maximise drama and contrast, emphasizing the lines and geometry of the buildings. I erased some distracting elements, enlarged and cropped the photos to achieve pleasing compositions which would visually work well together. I made sure that my client was happy with the final result by creating a mock-up of how the three images would look on her wall.

Once she had given her approval I ordered the canvas prints. My client was very happy when she received them!
